School Grade 4

Collince is the second born child in a family of three children.  He was born in 2009. His father died leaving Collince and her siblings under the care of their mother.  The mother was forced to move back to Ringiti, after her in-laws became hostile towards her.  Collince not only has suffered the loss of a parent and his home, but also in getting his most basic needs met. Collince’s mother has a health condition that won’t allow for her to be left by herself, let own go to work. She is unable to earn any income to support her children. She and the children depend on the generosity of those around them for everything, including food and paying for their school. Unfortunately, Collince’s has missed a lot of school due to the financial challenges this family faces daily.

When the children are able to attend school, they go to Ringiti Primary. Lavendar is in grade 4 and Felix is in grade PP2. Collince was also learning at Ringiti Primary School before joining GGCC in grade 1. He joined GGCC in March of 2020. His admission to GGCC is a big relief to his mother who could not raise school levies and other scholastic materials for him. Collince is so happy to join GGCC. He loves the school environment, the teachers and his fellow pupils.

At GGCC, Collince will study without any fear or interruption of being sent home for school levies. He will get all the three meals in school and improve his nutritional growth.  Collince would like to work hard to become a pilot when he grows up. His best subject is Kiswahili. During his leisure time, Collince likes playing soccer with his peers.
