Abraham was born in 2013 in Wakiangata Village, Mfangano North location. He is the second born among three children in the family. His father passed away, leaving Abraham and his siblings under the care of their mother. She works as a peasant farmer, which unfortunately, does not produce enough income to support her family. The children have faced challenges both academically and socially due to the poverty they face. Abraham missed school when his mother could not make the payments. And at times, it took her awhile to get the money together to send him back, thus, his poor performance in school. He has also lacked the appropriate uniforms and school materials.

Abraham’s siblings are Joseph and Anna Akinyi who both attend Wakiangata Primary School. Joseph is in grade six, while Anna is in PP2. Abraham was also learning at Wakiangata Primary before joining GGCC in January of 2024 as a partial orphan and vulnerable child. He is so happy to join GGCC and prays that the Lord will help him to meet his dream. His mother is grateful to the administration for considering her son.

At GGCC, Abraham will learn without interruption or fear of being sent home from school due to lack of payment. This will enable him to concentrate on his studies and work towards his goal of becoming a teacher. He likes the school compound, the teachers and the pupils.
