Shakespear was born in Rowo village in 2009. He is an only child. His mother died and his father deserted him after her death. The grandmother has taken over the care of Shakespear even though she is older and does not have any steady income to support him. She depends on peasant farming which can be very seasonal and often does not bring in a lot of money. She has struggled to support Shakespear. Many times, they are only able to have two meals a day. He has missed school also as a result of their limited income.

Before joining GGCC, Shakespear was learning at Ugina Primary School. He was admitted to GGCC in January of 2020 in grade 2 as orphaned and vulnerable child. He is so happy to join GGCC. His grandmother is so grateful to God and the administration for the opportunity granted to her grandson to learn in GGCC. This is a big relief for her. Shakespear like the school environment, the teacher’s commitment, and his fellow pupils. Shakespear now will learn without interruption, and he will get all the three meals which he was missing at home.  He will be able to sleep on a bed.

Shakespear would like to become a pastor. His best subjects are Social Studies, Kiswahili and Mathematics. During his leisure time, he likes playing soccer ball with his peers. He is in good health.
