Ramsey is the youngest child in a family of nine children. He was born in 2010 in Ringiti Island where his father worked as a fisherman. Unfortunately, his father died and left Ramsey and his siblings under the care of their mother, who did not have any form of income. Ramsey’s grandfather helped when he could, but his income was solely from fishing and often was not enough to support his family and his grandchildren. With such a large family, Ramsey’s mother could not take care of her children and had to divide them up among relatives. Ramsey stayed with his grandfather and lives in his tin-roofed rental house.

Two of Ramsey’s siblings are learning at Migori Mission Secondary School in grades 12 and 8, respectively. Two others attend Nandi Hills Secondary in grades 11 and 5, respectively. The fifth and sixth are both in grade 5 in Ombujo Primary School in Rachuonyo. The seventh and eighth born are learning in Isiolo Primary and Ringiti Primary School in grades 4 and 3, respectively.

Ramsey was admitted to GGCC in January of 2019 in KG3 as an orphaned and vulnerable child. He is so happy and excited to be at GGCC. He plays well with his siblings and will no longer miss classes due to lack of school levies. He likes the school environment and is friendly with his peers. At GGCC, he will get all the three meals daily and sleep well on a bed.

He would like to work hard to become a pilot when he grows up. He likes playing soccer and swimming during his leisure time.
