School Grade 7

Modeline was born in 2008 in Sena village. She is the oldest child in a family of five children. Her mother died, leaving Modeline and her siblings under the care of the father, who is a cook, as the sole breadwinner of the family. Her father works hard, but often is not able to meet the needs of such a large family. Modeline has been in and out of school because of the lack of funds available for school.  Her father has faced additional challenges with losing his wife, especially with having such young children without a mother.

Modeline’s second born brother, Pascal is in grade 1 at Lion of Judah Academy. Modeline’s sisters Gloria and Laura are also learning at Lion of Judah Academy in KG3 and KG1, respectively. The youngest, Lian, is not old enough to attend school yet.

Modeline was admitted to GGCC in January of 2020 in grade 3 as orphaned and vulnerable child. She is happy to join GGCC, where she will learn without the interruption of being sent home for levies. She promises to work hard to achieve her dream goal of becoming a teacher. Her best subject is Christian Religious Education. Modeline likes the school environment which is conducive for learning. She loves her fellow pupils who are so friendly. During her leisure time, Modeline like playing netball with her peers.
