Mark O. 1047

Grade Male: Kindergarten - 8th Gr.

School Grade 7

Mark was born in Kamasengre village in Rusinga West location in 2007. He is one in a set of triplets, the youngest in the family of six children. His father who was the sole bread winner sold his piece of land and went to a neighboring country of Tanzania, deserting the family. Mark and his siblings were left under the care of the mother who is not mentally stable.

They had nowhere to stay after the father deserted them, so the mother returned to her parents’ home in Mfangano South location, Mauta village where she currently stays with her children. To date they have not heard the whereabouts of the father. Life has not been so easy for Mark’s mother to provide for this large family.

Mark’s elder brother, Samuel, is in grade 10. The second born is in grade 8 and the third born is  in grade 4.  The two remaining triplets are in KG3 and are learning at Mauta primary school.

Mark joined GGCC in January of 2016 as a needy child. After being taken through the interview process, he was admitted in KG2. He is happy to be joining GGCC, however, it was not easy to separate him with his brothers.

Mark is eager to learn and change the future for his family. He desperately misses his brothers and hopes they will join him in GGCC soon.

Update, November 2017:
