Kenneth was born in 2011 in Wasiambi village, Mfangano East location. He is the youngest of two children in his family. His father died leaving Kenneth and his sister under the care of their mother, who’s only source of income is through peasant farming. This does not generate a lot of income for her and providing for the most basic needs of food and shelter have been a struggle. She supplements with fishing in other’s nets, but this also is very minimal.

Kenneth and Elizabeth have really struggled to keep up with their education. They attended school when their mother could afford it. Elizabeth was even able to finish high school. She has not joined a college and helps her mother at home. Kenneth was learning at Sena Primary School in grade 4 before he joined GGCC. He was admitted to GGCC in January of 2020 in grade 3 as an orphaned and vulnerable child. He is so happy to join GGCC and his mother is so grateful to God and the administration for the opportunity granted to her son as this is a great relief.

At GGCC, Kenneth will learn without any fear or interruption of being sent home for lack of school fees and other scholastic materials and this will help him to concentrate on his studies and hence improve his academic performance. Kenneth will get all three meals that he was missing at home. Kenneth would like to become a Priest in the future. During his leisure time, he likes playing soccer with his peers. He is in good health.
