School Grade 7

Jacob is the fifth born out of eight; 7 boys and 1 girl.  Both his parents are alive, but his father is mentally challenged and unable to do any work. As a result of this, the family became so vulnerable an uncle was compelled to take over the burden of providing for both the educational and basic needs of this family. He also has children of his own to feed and educate.

Jacob’s sibling, David is learning in Homa-Bay High School. Washington is at Wamai Primary school in grade 8. Nixon is in grade 4.  Mike is in grade 3. Devoter is in grade 2. Clinton is in grade 1 and Sam, the youngest is not attending school yet.

Jacob was admitted to GGCC in January of 2016 in grade KG2 as a vulnerable and needy child. Jacob joined GGCC from Wamai Primary with 425 marks where he was position 7 out of 12.

Jacob will enjoy all the three meals offered at GGCC and the uninterrupted learning will help him to concentrate on his studies. His admission to GGCC has been a great relief for the family.

Jacob likes to play soccer and has the ambition of becoming a Driver. At home, he assists his family by performing simple domestic chores.
