School Grade 7

Conslate was born in 2010 in Soklo village, Mfangano West location. She is the last born in a family of five children. Her mother passed away and left Conslate and her siblings under the care of their father who is just a peasant farmer. Before her mother’s passing, the family struggled to make ends meet with both parents working. Since her mother’s death, the family has struggled even more. Her father majorly depends on farm produce as his only source of income, which is both seasonal and limited. 

Conslate’s oldest brother, Evance, dropped out of school before finishing high school. The second and third born sisters, Pamella and Cynthia, completed high school. The fourth born, Sharon is learning at Karegha Mutahi Secondary School in grade 9. Conslate was previously enrolled at Soklo Primary School.

Conslate was admitted to GGCC in January of 2019 in grade 2 as an orphaned and vulnerable child. She is so happy to be at GGCC where she will get all the three meals and have access to an uninterrupted, quality education. She loves the school environment and plays well with her peers. She would like to work hard to become a nurse. During her free time, she likes skipping rope and playing soccer with her friends.
