Wendy is the second child born to her father's second wife. Both her parents have died and her caregiver is her paternal uncle. He operates a motorcycle transportation business; his wife sells clothes and shoes. They supplement their income with peasant farming.

While at home during school breaks, Wendy shares a bed with her younger cousin in the uncle's mud-walled, tin-roofed house, using a treated mosquito net. She helps with running small errands and washing utensils by the lake. The family fellowships in S.D.A. Church.

At GGCC, Wendy likes to play hide and seek, skip rope, swing and play ball games. She loves school at GGCC because of the good teaching. She loves reading and learning her numbers, and would like to become a teacher.

Wendy joined GGCC in 2012.
