Vidic is the youngest of four children. His father died in December 2004. His mother earns a living by trawling in other peoples boats as a hireling, earning a commission from the catch of the day. She also owns an old fishing net and boat, but does not earn much from these. This is a volatile source of income since some days there is no catch at all. With the large size of this family, it becomes very challenging to provide even the basic needs for them. When there is no food for the family, Vidic's paternal grandfather will sometimes supplement their food supply.

While at home during school breaks, Vidic sleeps on a bed and uses a mosquito net.

Vidic joined GGCC in 2012.
