Varsity was born in 2014 in Mauta village, Mfangano South location. She is the second born child in a family of five children, with three males and two females. Both of her parents are alive, but they are very vulnerable because of their health challenges. Their father fishes, but doesn’t have a boat of his own, so he works using other people’s boats and nets. The meagre income he earns is not near enough to provide for the families basic needs, much less pay for the children’s school fees. This family struggles a lot.

Varsity’s oldest brother, Ken Joel, is in grade two. The third born, Emmanuel, is in grade PP1. The fourth born, William, is in PP2 and the youngest, Naomi, is still at home with her mother because she is not old enough to attend school yet. Varsity was learning in Mauta Primary School before joining GGCC.

Varsity was admitted to GGCC is July of 2021 in grade PP2 as a vulnerable child.  She is so excited because she has heard good things about GGCC from other children in their community. Her family is very appreciative for the opportunity granted to their daughter to learn at GGCC. They are optimistic that Varsity will learn and go on to do great things.

Varsity is a hardworking girl and has the ambition of becoming a doctor. Her enjoys is playing games with her friends. She is fond of assisting her mother perform some simple duties at home. She is in good health.
