School Grade Kindergarten

Valliant was born in 2018 in Muhuru Bay in Migori County. He is the youngest child in a family of six children. His mother passed away when Valiant was very young, leaving he and his siblings under the care of their father. His father has another wife with 4 children of her own. He works as a fisherman but does not make enough through fishing to support such a large family. They have struggled so much that some of the children have dropped out of school, and some have had to repeat a grade since they have missed so much school. Valiant has gone to live with his elderly grandmother, but things are not much better at her house as she struggles to put food on the table as well.

Valiant’s oldest sister, Sharon, dropped out of school in grade 10. The second born, Emmanuel, is learning at Nyakendo Secondary School in grade 12. The third born, Elnard, is learning at Rabwao Secondary School also in grade 12. The fourth born, Robin, is learning at Obolo Secondary School in grade 9. The fifth born, Stacy, is learning at Nyangere Secondary School in grade 9.

Valliant was learning at Rabwao Primary School with Elnard before joining GGCC.

Valliant was admitted to GGCC in 2024 in grade PP2 as an orphaned and vulnerable child. His father and grandmother are very grateful for the opportunity granted to Valliant to learn at GGCC. This is a great relief for him. Valliant is happy and excited to join GGCC. He likes the school environment, his fellow pupils and the teachers who are so friendly.

At GGCC, Valliant will learn without missing classes due to lack of school levies and this will help him to concentrate on his studies.  He would like to become a teacher when he grows up. During his leisure time, he likes playing with his peers on the swings and playing soccer. He is in good health.
