Both of Tabitha's parents have died. Her caregiver is the grand-daughter of her paternal uncle. In addition to Tabitha, the carefiver has 3 children of her own and gets no support from her estranged husband. She has a small scale business in food stuff and clothes to provide for her family.

While at home during school breaks, Tabitha sleeps in the guardian's house, sharing a sleeping mat with the guardian's children. She helps her guardian to wash untesils, sweep the house and carry water from the lake. The family fellowships in the S.D.A. church.

Tabitha joined GGCC in 2012.
