Sasha is the youngest in a family of four children, three girls and a boy. She was born in 2013 in Nyakweri village, Mfangano North location. Her father died and left Sasha and her siblings under the care of her mother who was a house wife and did not work outside of the home. She has since started working as a peasant farmer, but often does not make enough to support her family. She depends on help from well wishers. Sasha’s mother has health challenges and gets sick often. The hospital bills and medical treatment often compound their financial struggles.

At home, Sasha sleep in her mother’s house on a mat and covers herself with a blanket. Before joining GGCC she was learning at Nyakweri primary school. Sasha’s elder sibling, Lameck Ouma, is in College. The second born, Alice Auma, is in grade 7 at Nyakweri primary school. Moses, the third born, is also learning at Nyakweri primary school in grade 3.

Sasha was admitted to GGCC in January of 2018 in KG1 as an orphaned and vulnerable child. She is happy to join GGCC and is ready to learn! She is a jovial girl and has adjusted well in the new environment.

Sasha loves watching football and molding in her free time. Sasha would like to work hard to become a journalist when she grows up.

She does not have any health complications.
