Rizicky who comes from Kibwogi village was born in 2009. Her mother passed on while she was very young, leaving Rizicky under the care of her father, who is a drunkard. Rizicky has some health challenges and is enrolled for care and treatment at Nyamrisra Health Centre.

Rizicky has 7 siblings. The first born is in Kisii Polytechnic School.  The second born is in grade 10 at Rambusi Secondary school, while the other four male siblings are learning at Kibwogi primary school.  Rizicky’s younger sibling is not old enough for school yet.

Life has not been easy for Rizicky. Her father’s substance abuse often causes the family the go without proper food and other basic needs.  Rizicky’s aunt has stepped in to help and taken Rizicky into her home. Her aunt is small scale business lady who sells fish. Though she is trying so much to support the family, she is not able to provide for all of Rizicky’s needs, especially paying for her school.

Rizicky was vetted to join GGCC in January of 2019 as a vulnerable child. She is in grade KG3.  Both Rizicky and her Aunt are grateful to the administration for admitting her. Rizicky is promising to work hard so as to achieve her dream goal of becoming a nurse in the future. Her hobby is playing football and rope skipping.
