Natalia was born in 2006 in Soklo village, Mfangano South location. She is the last born child in a family of four children. Her father passed on in 2011 and left her and her other siblings under the care of her mother who sells tomatoes to feed and take care of her family.

Natalia’s elder brother Denis is learning in Tenwek College, his second and third born siblings, Emmanuel and Isaac are both learning in Shalom Academy in grade 5. Her mother struggles to ensure that she provides for her family and also ensures that her children get education. Although the mother tries so much, many times Natalia would be sent from school for school levies.

While at home Natalia takes 3 meals daily, sleep on a mat and covers self with a blanket. Natalia helps her mother with house chores, like washing dishes.

Natalia joined GGCC in January 2015 after being vetted. She is happy to join GGCC where she will learn freely without being sent home for school levies. 

Natalia likes playing football. Her best subject is mathematics and she would like to become a Doctor in future.
