Nancy is one of four children. Her mother died on August 25, 2011. Her father was a cobbler until 1971 when he developed leprosy which affected his fingers and ankles, leaving him disabled. He earns a living by selling charcoal and firewood, and doing some farm work. During the period of tilling land, planting and weeding when there is scarcity of food, they eat either once or twice a day, mainly porridge.

During school breaks, Nancy sleeps in her grandmother's house on a mat. She helps with duties like carrying water from the lake, gathering firewood and cooking.

At GGCC, Nancy plays ball games, swings, and socializes very well wih her newly acquired friends.

Nancy joined GGCC in 2012.

Per Joyce's Feb 2023 report- Nancy got pregnant, but plans to return to GGCC after the baby is born. Will alert sponsor (Giaimo).

Per Joyce Feb 2024 report- Had the baby, has not returned as of yet, but plans to in the 2nd term.

Per Joyce's April 2024 report- Nancy has reported back to school in grade 10.
