Marion's father died in 2007 after a short illness and left her and her other siblings under the care of her mother, who sells vegetables in order to feed and pay school fees for her other children.  They sometimes only get one or two meals a day. While at home, Marion sleep in her mother’s iron roofed house though the house is not strong due to poor timber it was built with. She and her siblings sleep on a polythene material and cover themselves with a bed sheet under a treated mosquito net.

Marion enrolled in GGCC in 2014. She eats three meals daily which has improved her nutritional growth.  She sleeps on a mattress and covers herself with a blanket.

Life in GGCC is good and she has been able to make friends. Marion would like to become a teacher when she grows up.
