Loyd is the second born child in a family of three children. He was born in 2008 in Takawiri Island in Mfangano East location.  Both of his parents died in 2008 due to HIV related ailments.

His older brother, Frazier, is in grade 6. Fidel, who is Lloyds’ twin brother, is in grade 2. Both are learning at Takawiri Primary school.

After the death of their parents, the children went to live with an elderly grandmother also on Takawiri Island. She earns a meager living from the selling of vegetables and this is often not enough to provide for Loyd and his siblings. Their education has often been interrupted because she was unable to pay for their schooling and they would be sent home. And they sometimes went without meals at home.

Because of this high level of vulnerability, Loyd was vetted and admitted to GGCC in January of 2018 as an orphaned and vulnerable child. He was admitted in grade 1. Loyd is happy to join GGCC and knows he can now concentrate on his studies without missing classes.

Loyd is a bright boy and would like to work hard to become a doctor.

During his leisure time, he likes playing football with his peers.
