School Grade 4

Junior was born on September 2, 2004 in Ramba village, Waware sub location in Mfangano North location. Junior is the fourth born child in a family of six children, 4 girls and 2 boys. His father passed away leaving Junior and his siblings under the care of their mother. She helps the fishermen in her village with their nets in order to provide for her family. However, she doesn’t make enough to fully support them. The family has suffered greatly since the father’s passing. They often do not have enough to eat, nor money to pay for their school fees. He even went to school without shoes because they could not afford them.

When the children are able to attend school, most of them go to Kakrigu Primary School. Junior’s older two sisters, Maurine and Nancy are both in grade 8. The 3^rd born sister, Violet is in grade 7, while Junior’s younger brother, Effy is in grade 5. The youngest, Amason, attends Ramba Primary School in grade PP2.  Junior was learning at Ramba Primary School also before joining GGCC.

Junior was admitted to GGCC in 2022 in grade 2 as an orphaned and vulnerable child. His mother is so grateful to God for the opportunity granted to Junior to learn at GGCC as this is a great relief for her. Junior likes the school environment especially living on campus. He also likes his fellow pupils and teachers who are so friendly.  At GGCC, he will learn without missing classes like in his former school and this will help him to concentrate on his studies and work towards his dream of becoming a doctor.  He will also get all three meals daily. His best subject is mathematics.  During his leisure time, Junior likes playing soccer with his friends. He is in good health.
