Julius was born in 2008 and is the eldest son in a family of two children. His father passed away in 2010 from malaria and left him and his other sibling under the care of his mother who is a peasant farmer.

Julius’ life since his father’s death has been difficult since the mother is unable to take care of him and his brother. She sometimes sells groundnuts in order to make ends meet. Eating has been a problem and depends on the season. Sometimes they only have two meals a day.

While at home Julius sleeps in his mother’s iron roofed house on a mat and covers himself with a blanket under a treated mosquito net.

Julius was enrolled in GGCC in 2014. This is his first time in school and he is so happy!

At GGCC Julius sleeps on a bed and mattress where he covers himself with a blanket and has three meals daily. He likes the environment and loves playing football. Julius would like to become a teacher when he grows up.
