Juliet is the third born in a family of four children. She was born in 2010 in Kiduwa village, Mfangano West location. Both of her parents have died leaving Juliet and her siblings under the care of their grandmother who is a peasant farmer.

Juliet’s grandmother has been struggling to care for her grandchildren especially after the tragic death of her daughter. Juliet’s grandmother relies on farm produce to provide for her family. This is seasonal and limited, so she also burns charcoal to supplement. And often times this is not enough to provide food as well as paying school fees. Juliet has missed classes because they were unable to pay for it.  

Juliet’s oldest sibling, Michael, and her youngest sibling are both learning at Uozi primary school in grades 6 and KG3. The second born sibling, Alphonce, is enrolled at GGCC in grade 6 with Juliet.

Juliet was learning at Uozi primary school before joining GGCC. She was admitted in January of 2019 in grade 2 as an orphaned and vulnerable child. She is very happy and grateful to God for the opportunity to learn to together with her brother. At GGCC, she will not miss classes again due to lack of school levies. She will get all the three meals and sleep well on a bed. She really loves the school environment and plays well with her peers. Juliet is a hard working girl who would like to become a doctor when she grows up. During her free time, she likes playing netball with her peers. She is in good health.
