Jovlet was born in 2008 and is the eldest child in a family of two. Her father passed away from HIV/AIDs and left her under the care of her mother who is a peasant farmer. Before his death, her father was a hard working person who fished and took care of his family well.

Since her father’s death Jovlet’s mother, the sole breadwinner, has been struggling to feed her children and pay their school fees. She has to work hard farming by herself. She sometimes sells firewood to help supplement her income.

Jovlet was enrolled in GGCC in January 2014. She is happy to join GGCC where she can study without being sent home for school fees. She says she would like to work hard and become a teacher one day when she grows up. Jovlet loves playing football.
