School Grade 8

Jeremy comes from Nyakweri village Mfangano North location. He is the last born in a family of four. His father died in the year 2005. His mother who is the sole breadwinner is a peasant farmer and what she gets from the farm produce is too little to sustain the family. Many a times she would spend the night at the lake pulling other people’s nets so as to get something for the family and also educate her children.

Jeremy’s other siblings, Kevin Omondi did grade 12 Kenya National exams in 2014 and is still just at home,  Lencer Awuor who is the second born is learning at Nyakweri Secondary school in form two while the third born Vince Aluoch is also leaning at Nyakweri in grade six. 

While at home, Jeremy takes 2 meals. He sleeps in his mother’s house on a mat and covers himself with a blanket. He uses mosquito net.

Jeremy was enrolled in GGCC in January 2015 in KG2. He is so happy to join GGCC a place where he will learn without any interruptions of being sent home for school levies. He likes the school environment and promises to work hard in school.

In GGCC Jeremy sleep on a bed and cover self with a blanket. He takes all three meals daily. 

He loves football and music. His ambition is to become a Doctor.
