Jenipher was born in 2007 in Kakrigu village, Mfangano North location. She is the second born child in a family of four children, although one of her siblings passed away recently. Both of her parents are alive. Her father, who is the breadwinner, is a security guard at Kenya Power in Mfangano while her mother is a housewife. Jenipher’s father is a polygamist and has another wife and family to support. Although he works, his income is not enough to support his large family.  There is often not enough money to both feed and educate all of the children properly. While at home, Jenipher helps her mother with household chores. She sleeps in her mother’s house on a mat and covers herself with a blanket.

Her older sister, Bella Rose, is learning at Kakarigu Primary School in grade 8 and her younger brother, Mourice, is learning at Lion of Judah in PP2 /KG2. Jenipher was previously enrolled with Bella Rose at Kakrigu Primary School before joining GGCC in grade 6. She is replacing her sister, Shemim, who attended GGCC before passing away from complications of HIV/AIDS.  

Jenipher joined GGCC in January of 2021 as an orphaned and vulnerable child in grade 6.  She is so happy to join GGCC, where she has access to the learning materials she needs. Her parents are so grateful for the opportunity granted to their daughter.  Jenipher loves the spiritual nourishment offered at GGCC as well as the quality of the education. She received Jesus Christ as her savior when she joined GGCC. She reports that the teachers and her fellow pupils are so friendly.

Jenipher would like to work hard to become an accountant in the future. Her best subject is Science. During her leisure time, she likes athletics and she is in good health.
