School Grade 4

Isaac was born in 2011 in Wakiangata village, Mfangano East location. He is the youngest child in a family of three children. His mother passed away when he was just two years old. He and his siblings were left under the care of their father who is sick and unable to do hard work. Things were so bad for this family that Isaac’s oldest brother, Tiberius, went to work driving a motorbike to try and help provide the basics for the family. Unfortunately, this is still not enough to consistently provide 3 meals a day. They often take only 2 and at times only porridge. Isaac’s education has also suffered as he has had to miss school when they could not pay the school fees or provide the scholastic materials he needed. Isaac lives in his brother’s house.

Isaac’s older sister, Florence, was able to complete her high school education although she has not gone on for further education and does not have any work at this time. 

Isaac was learning at Misori Primary School before joining GGCC in 2022. He joined in grade 3 as an orphaned and vulnerable child. He is so excited and happy to join GGCC. His siblings and his father are equally grateful. Isaac likes the school environment especially the boarding aspect of the school. Being onsite all the time is very conducive for learning. He does not have to worry about being sent home for lack of payment and he will get three meals a day. He prays that his life will not remain the same.

Isaac would like to become a doctor in the future. His best subjects are mathematics and Christian Religious Education (CRE). During his leisure time, Isaac likes playing soccer. He is in good health.
