School Grade 2

Isaac is the fifth born child in a family of six children. He was born in 2013 in Wakula village, Mfangano West location. His father passed away in December of 2020 leaving Isaac and his siblings under the care of their mother as the sole breadwinner. Isaac’s father played a tremendous role in financially supporting the children’s education. Since his death, it has been very difficult for Isaac’s mother to maintain the payments. She works selling fish, but it is not enough to support her large family. The children have missed classes and had their education interrupted.

Isaac’s oldest sibling, Vestrine, is learning at Ogande Girls High school in grade 12. The second born sibling, Eliakim, is learning at Kakiimba Secondary School in grade 10. The third born, Velma, and fourth born, Zacharia, are enrolled at Repairer Christian School in grades 8 and 6. The sixth born, Nicole, is learning at Wakula Primary School in PP2. Isaac was also attending Wakula Primary School before joining GGCC.

Isaac was admitted to GGCC in August of 2021 in PP1 as orphaned and vulnerable child. His mother is so grateful for the opportunity granted to her son to learn at GGCC, as this is a big relief to her. Isaac is so happy to join GGCC and mingles easily with his peers. He will learn without missing classes and will also get three meals a day, which he did not always get at home.

Isaac does not know yet what he wants to become, but he likes playing soccer with his peers. He is in good health.
