School Grade 10

Frankline is the second born child in a family of 4 children. He was born in Wakinga village in 2007. Frankline has dealt with many hard things in his young life, including the passing of his mother after a long illness and the death of one of his siblings. After the death of his mother, Frankline and his sisters, Velma and Angela, are under the care of their father who is a peasant farmer. He also fishes in other’s nets to supplement his income, although this is often not enough to support the family. Frankline and his sisters have missed school at times because they did not have the money to pay the fees to attend. They often take only two meals a day, depending on the season. 

Velma is currently attending Sindo in grade 7 and she is living with her paternal Aunt. Angela is enrolled at GGCC in grade 3. Frankline was learning at Sena Primary School before joining GGCC.

Frankline was admitted to GGCC in August of 2021 as an orphaned and vulnerable child. Frankline and his father are so happy and grateful to God and the management for the opportunity granted to him. Frankline will now be able to concentrate on his studies and hopes to become an electrical engineer in the future. He will not miss classes due to lack of school levies and scholastic materials and he will have three meals a day. He likes the quality education offered in GGCC. During leisure time, he likes playing football.
