Everline is the last born in a family of five children. She was born in 2010 at Kiwari village, Wakula North sub location in Mfangano West Location. The father died in 2013 after suffering from malaria and typhoid leaving Everline and her siblings under the care of the mother who is the sole breadwinner as a peasant farmer. The mother must sometimes burn and sell charcoal to try to make ends meet. Life has not been smooth for Everline and her siblings as they lack most of the basic necessities. They have been struggling in paying school levies and fees. Most of the time Everline and her siblings would be sent home from school because they were unable to pay.

Mercy Achieng, who is the eldest born, is learning at Rarieda secondary school in form four. David Ochieng, who is the second born, was learning at Kiwari primary school where he completed his grade 8. Mary Aoko and Carolyne Akoth, who are the third and fourth born respectively are also learning at Kiwari primary school in grades six and three.

Before joining GGA, Everline was learning at Kiwari primary school in KG3.

Everline was admitted to GGCC in 2016 January as an orphaned and vulnerable child after being vetted by the vetting committee. She is so happy to join GGCC.

She looks forward to a very conducive learning environment where she will not be sent home for school levies and hence can concentrate on her studies. She has promised to work hard so as to achieve her life’s dream of becoming a teacher.

Everline likes playing hide and seek.
