Eunice was born in 2010 in Wakinga village, Mfangano East location. She is the youngest child in a family of four children. Her mother passed away and left Eunice and her siblings under the care of their father who is a fisherman. He does not own his own fishing nets or a boat, so he heavily relies on others to earn a wage. He makes very little to support his family. Not only does this family face extreme poverty, which has impacted Eunice’s education, but she has also greatly missed her mother’s presence in her life.

Before joining GGCC, Eunice was learning at Sena Primary School in grade 3 with the third born who was in grade 6. The older two siblings, Elly and Zadock are learning at Sena Secondary School in grades 12 and 9.

Eunice was admitted to GGCC in January of 2020 as an orphaned and vulnerable child. She is so happy to join GGCC and prays that the Lord will help her to meet her life dream of becoming a teacher. She knows she will be able to concentrate on her studies and not worry about missing school when her father cannot afford it.  She likes the school environment, the teachers and her fellow pupils. Her best subjects are English and Kiswahili. During her leisure time, she likes playing netball.
