Enock O. 1428

Grade Male: Kindergarten - 8th Gr.

School Grade 5

Enock was born in 2012 in Wakula village, Mfangano west location. He is the second born child in a family of three children. Both of his parents have passed away. Enock’s care was then taken over by the step mother and a grandmother, both of whom were unable to properly care for him. His step mother relied on farm produce to take care of her own children, which was usually not enough for them, much less Enock and his siblings. He often went without proper nutrition and had to drink untreated lake water. The grandmother did not want to care for the children and often sent them away to live with other people. This lack of consistent care and stability has caused Enock to miss a lot of school. His performance was very low.

Before GGCC stepped in to care for Enock, he was infrequently learning at Wakula Primary School. His older sister, Dotphine is enrolled at Migingo Girls School where she is in grade 12. The youngest, Samwel, is not yet in school.

Enock was admitted to GGCC in January of 2020 in grade 1 as an orphaned and vulnerable child. He is so happy to join GGCC where he will learn without interruption or distraction. He will concentrate on his studies and be able to achieve his dream of becoming a pilot when he grows up. He will get all the three meals and drink treated water. During his leisure time, Enock likes playing soccer. He is in good health.
