Derrictone was born in 2011 in Uriri Kakremba Village in Uriri Division. He is the first-born child in a family of three children. Both of his parents are alive. Derrictone’s father works as a motorbike mechanic, but this is not a formal income generating job. Derrictone’s mother works as a hairdresser and takes on the primary responsibility of taking care of her children’s financial needs. However, her income is not as dependable as they need it to be in order to pay for their children’s school consistently. Derrictone and his siblings have missed some school because of this.

Derrictone was learning at Misori Primary School with his sister Daphine before joining GGCC. Daphine is in grade PP2. The youngest sibling, Nawire, is not old enough to attend school yet.

Derrictone was admitted to GGCC in grade 4 as a vulnerable child. His parents are so grateful to the Lord and to the management for the opportunity granted to their son to learn at GGCC. Derrictone is equally happy to join GGCC, a school he has always admired. He likes the school environment which is so conducive for learning especially the boarding aspect of it. He likes his fellow pupils and the teachers who are so friendly.

At GGCC, Derrictone will not miss classes again, and will be able to focus on his goal of becoming a pilot. His best subjects are mathematics and english. During his leisure time, he likes playing soccer.. He is in good health.
