Lovella is the youngest in a family of two children. She was born in 2010 at Ragwe village, Nyamrisra sub location, Kaksingri West location. Her mother became the sole bread winner after the death of her father. Although Lovella’s mother works as a peer educator based at Suba sub county hospital, she often does not make enough to take care of her two children and the step children that are also in her care.

Lovella’s brother, Felix Otieno Orato, is learning at Ragwe primary school in grade 6. Lovella was formerly learning at Rongo CCF Academy, in Migori County where she was staying with her niece.

She was vetted to join GGCC in January of 2018 as an orphaned and vulnerable child. She was admitted in KG3.

She is happy to join the school and promises to work hard in her academics so as to become an engineer. In her free time, Lovella likes playing football and singing. Lovella has a skin allergy.
