Davine is the third born in a family of four children. She was born in 2010 in Uozi village, Mfangano west location, Mfangano Division.

Her firstborn sibling, Stanley, is enrolled at Tristar Academy in grade 8. The second born and fourth born, Tabitha and Drogba, are both learning at Uozi primary school in grades 3 and KG2. Davine was enrolled at St. Joel Academy in Karachuonyo in KG3 before joining GGA.

Davine’s parents separated five years ago and she has been living under the care of her father. Unfortunately, her father is very poor and unable to provide for Davine’s needs. He does not have the money to keep her in school consistently. This has really affected her academic performance. And sometimes the family is forced to go without food at all.

While at home, she sleeps on a mat and covers herself with a light bed sheet.

Davine was admitted to GGCC in January of 2017 as a needy and vulnerable child. She is very happy to be at GGCC and hopes she will succeed. She will enjoy being able to attend her lessons without missing classes. She will also take all the three meals daily.

She is very optimistic about her future. She would like to work hard to become a teacher when she grows up. She loves playing football.
