David's father, a carpenter and mason, died in November 2011 after a short illness. His mother does subsistence farming. Occasionally, she and David's grandmother make and sell illicit brew to earn money. Because this is illegal activity, she must pay bribes to survive. This also results in much quarraling between the two women over the proceeds from selling the brew!

Except during the dry seasons when there is little food available, the family is able to eat three meals most days. This family worships at the Catholic church.

David joined GGCC in 2012.

Update, November 2017: 

David placed 20th in his class of 45 students.  He likes his math class and dreams of being a pilot in the future.  He is saved, and attends a catholic church when he returns to his village on breaks.  In his free time, David enjoys playing soccer.
