School Grade 7

Christiano was born in 2009 at Ugina village in Mfangano South location. He is the third born child in a family of four children. His mother died but his father is alive and is the bread winner of the family. Christiano has faced a lot of challenges, both academically and socially, associated with the poverty his family has faced. Many times he would be sent home from school because his father could not pay the levies. He also did not have the appropriate basic needs and often wore torn uniforms that attributed to him being self-conscious.

Christiano’s older two siblings are in grades 11 and 9 at Mauta Secondary School. The fourth born is in grade 3. Before joining GGCC, Christiano was learning at Ugina Primary School in grade 4.

Christiano was admitted to GGCC in January of 2020 as an orphaned and vulnerable child. He is so happy to join GGCC and prays that the Lord will help him to meet his life dream of becoming a doctor. His father is also very grateful to the administration for the opportunity that has been extended to his son as this is a great relief for him.

At GGCC, Christiano will learn without interruption or fear of being chased from school because of lack of payment. This will help Christiano concentrate on his academics.  His best subjects are Christian Religious Education (CRE), Science and Mathematics.
