Chalton O. 1814

Grade Male: Kindergarten - 8th Gr.

School Grade 6

Chalton was born on August 11, 2012, in Kakiimba Village, in Mfangano North location. He is the third born child in a family of five children. Both of his parents are alive. His father, who is the bread winner, works as a mason. However, his family still struggles tremendously because there is not steady enough work for his father. With such a large family to care for, often, education was the last thing to be paid for. Even putting food on the table could be a struggle.

Academically, he has struggled because of the inconsistency in which he has attended school. When his parnets did not have the money to pay the school fees, Chalton would remain at home and miss classes.  He also lacked a uniform and scholastic materials.

Chalton’s oldest sibling, Quty, is in enrolled at Kakiimba Secondary School in form one. The second born, Wendy, attends Kakiimba Primary School in grade seven. The youngest two, Brighton and Conslate, also attend Kakiimba Primary in grades two and PP1. Before being admitted to GGCC, Chalton attended school with his siblings at Kakiimba Primary.

Chalton was admitted to GGCC in January of 2024 as a vulnerable child. He is so happy to join GGCC and prays that the Lord will help him to meet his life’s dream. His parents are also happy and very grateful for considering their son to join GGCC.

At GGCC, he will learn without interruption or fear of being sent home from school for lack of school payment. This will help Chalton to concentrate on his studies. He would like to become a teacher. He likes the school compound, the teachers and the pupils. His best subjects are English and Social Studies. He loves football.
