School Grade 2

Braniz is the second born child in a family of four children. He was born in 2014 in Kibuogi Island, Nyamrisra sub location. His father passed away after a short illness leaving Braniz and his siblings under the care of their mother who is the bread winner.  She works as a peasant farmer as well as fishing in other’s nets in order to provide for her family. Although she works as much as she can, it is often not enough to meet all the needs of her family. Sometimes she is only able to offer her family two meals a day. She has also faced challenges in paying school fees in order to keep her children in school. They have missed school when she has been unable to pay for it. At times, Braniz’s mother has had to accept help from well-wishers in order to send her children back to school.  

Braniz’s oldest sibling, Faith, is enrolled at Roo Secondary School in grade 9. The third born, Gloria, is learning at Kibuogi Primary School and the fourth born, Macrine, is also learning at Kibuogi Primary in grade PP1. Braniz was also learning at Kibuogi Primary School in PP2 before joining GGCC.

He was enrolled at GGCC in August of 2021 in PP1 as an orphaned and vulnerable child. His mother is so grateful to God for the opportunity granted to Braniz to learn at GGCC. This is a big relief to his family as Braniz will learn without missing classes and he will have the scholastic materials which will help him to concentrate on his studies. He loves the school environment, his fellow pupils and the teachers who are so friendly. Braniz would like to work hard to become a police officer when he grows up. He likes   modeling during his free time. He is in good health.
