Wesley was born on September 16, 2010 in Ragwe village, Nyamrisra sub-location in Kaksingi West location. He is the first-born child in a family of three children. Both of his parents are alive, but they are separated.  Wesley’s father has remarried and Wesley’s stepmother is not supportive of the children.

Wesley’s father works as a fisherman, but does not own his own equipment, which makes his job more precarious. He often does not make enough money to feed his family and pay for their education. They have struggled to put three meals on the table and often it may only be porridge for one of the meals. 

Wesley has also struggled academically as he has missed school when his father couldn’t pay for him to attend. Wesley and his father are so grateful for the opportunity for Wesley to attend GGCC as this is a big relief for the family. 

Wesley was previously enrolled at Ragwe Primary school before joining GGCC. His sisters, Elizabeth and Hellena, attend Ragwe Primary as well. They are in grades 2 and PP2.

Wesley was admitted to GGCC in 2022 as a vulnerable child. He is so happy to join GGCC and prays that the Lord will help him meet his lifes dream of becoming a teacher. He likes the school environment. He also likes his fellow pupils who are so friendly. At GGCC, he will learn without interruption or fear of being sent away from school. His best subjects are english and mathematics. He loves playing soccer. He is in good health.
