Hello Friends and Family,

After a life changing experience going to Gethsemane Gardens Christian Centre on Mfangano Island, Kenya last summer, I have felt a strong desire to return. After much prayer and consideration with my parents, I am taking the leap of faith to make the trip this summer.

While on the trip last summer, we evangelized on neighboring islands, assisted in medical missions and food distribution, but what impacted me the most was spending time with the children at the school. GGCC is a Christian boarding school for orphaned and highly vulnerable children. As a student of GGCC, they are given clothes, shelter, food, and a Christian education. I got to see first-hand the impact that our presence has on these kids. They feel so loved knowing we would travel across the world to see them. I also got to see people who have so little but experience the joy of the Lord because of the impact a Christian education has on them. The students at this school are given opportunities they wouldn't otherwise have and then go on to serve the people of the island with the skills and abilities God has grown in them.
