School Grade 8

William is the fourth born in a family of five children, three boys and two girls. He was born in 2007 in Kisiambi village, Nyamrisra sub- location, Kaksingri West location. His father died in 2012 leaving William and his siblings under the care of their mother, who is sick a lot and unable to work enough to provide for her family. She often has to go into the hospital for care, leaving the children vulnerable, which often meant they missed school.

His elder sibling, Stephen Omondi, completed grade 12. The second born, Molvin Atieno, dropped out of school because of a lack of school fees. The third born, Bernard Otieno, is in grade 7. The fifth born, Juliet Akinyi, is in KG1.

William was admitted to GGCC in January of 2018 in grade 2 as an orphaned and vulnerable child. He is so happy to join GGCC where he will now learn without missing classes, thus improving his academic performance. He likes the school environment, the classes and the swings, which he did not have at his former school. He relates well with his peers and enjoys playing soccer.

William would like to work hard to become a doctor in the future.
