Vincent is the third born in a family of five children. He was born in the year 2008 in Soklo village, Mfangano West location. His father died of ulcers in 2008 when he was few days old. His mother who is just a peasant farmer is the sole breadwinner of the family and what she gets from the farm produce is not enough to sustain the family and also educate her children.

Vincent’s other siblings; Velma Aoko is in grade seven at Mbita primary where she is staying with her maternal uncle, Elly Ochieng who is the second born is learning at shalom Academy in grade four while the last born Bradox Okinyi is in baby class in Uzuwi Academy.

Most often, Vincent was being sent away from school due to lack of school levies. This interfered with his learning as he would stay home for some time before his mother gets money to pay for him to return to school.

While at home, Vincent takes two meals daily. He sleeps in his mothers iron roofed mud wall house on a mattress and covers himself with a blanket.

Vincent was admitted in GGCC in January 2015 in KG1 after being vetted by the vetting committee.  He is so happy to learn in GGCC where he will not be sent home for school levies. He loves the school environment.

At GGCC Vincent takes three meals daily and sleep comfortably on a bed. He likes playing soccer.
