Treever's father died in 2010 and his mother then deserted the home.  He and his siblings live with their elderly grandparents who are also caring for 3 of Treever's cousins who are partial orphans.  The grandparents can only do a bit of subsistence farming, and the family rarely eat 3 meals a day.

While at home during school breaks, Treever sleeps in his grandparents' house on a mattress on a mat and uses a mosquito net.  He helps to carry water and gather firewood.

At GGCC, Treever is happy because he has some cousins also at GGCC.

Treever joined GGCC In 2012.
