Sizleah S. 1416

Grade Female: Kindergarten - 8th Gr.

School Grade 5

Sizleah was born in Kakiimba village in Mfangano North location in 2013. She is the youngest of 3 children in her family. Her father died leaving Sizleah and her siblings under the care of their mother who is just a peasant farmer. Her mother has struggled to provide the most basic of needs. This family only takes 2 meals a day. Sizleah and her siblings have missed school a lot because they couldn’t make the payments. They often went to school in torn uniforms, lacking the school supplies necessary to learn.

When they are able to attend, the oldest two, Elly and Stephold, are learning at Kakiimba Primary School in grades 6 and 5. Before joining GCCC, Sizleah was learning at St. James where she was in KG3.

Sizleah was admitted to GGCC in January of 2020 in grade 1 as an orphaned and vulnerable child. She is so happy to join GGCC and her mother is equally grateful to God and the administration for the opportunity granted to her daughter to learn in GGCC.  Sizleah likes the school compound, the play ground and her fellow pupils.

At GGCC, she will learn without any more interruption of being sent home from school due to lack of school levies. This will help Sizleah to concentrate on her studies and meet her life dream of becoming a doctor. Her best subjects are English and Mathematics. She will also get all the three meals daily which she was missing at home.  During her leisure time, she likes playing soccer with her peers. She is in good health.
