Millicent is the only child who was born in 2009. Her mother was not married and they were both staying with the grandfather until 2014 when her mother died. Millicent remained under the care of the grandfather.

Millicent’s grandfather has four children of his own children to take care of. Due to the little income that the grandfather has from his peasant farming, he could not manage to pay for his children’s school fees and other basic needs and again provide for Millicent.

Before joining GGCC, Millicent was learning at Misori primary school where she was in KG 3. Millicent was admitted to GGCC in January of 2016 as an orphaned and vulnerable child. She was admitted in KG3 after sitting for the interviews.

She is so happy to join GGCC; a school she has really wanted to join. Millicent is promising to work hard so as to achieve her dream of becoming a teacher. Millicent loves the teachers and the fellow pupils as she says that they are friendly.

Update, November 2017: Millicent loves to learn and study.  She desires to be a college professor when she gets older.  When Millicent returns to her village, she is a member of a Catholic church.  In her free time, Millicent loves to play soccer.
