Meldrine was born in 2000. She is the first born in a family of three children. Meldrine and her siblings were born out of wedlock and they do not have anyone to call a father. Her mother did not marry, and they live with their grandparents from her mother’s side. Her mother died while giving birth and left her and her siblings under the care of their grandfather who also later died. Now Meldrine and her siblings are staying with her grandmother who is aged and unable do much to care for them.

School fees and food were very hard to get. While at home Meldrine sleeps in her grandmother’s house on a mat, covering herself with a blanked which is shared with her siblings.

Meldrine joined GGCC in 2014. At GGCC life is good as Meldrine is able to eat and study well without any interruptions. She sleeps on a bed and mattress. She is happy at GGCC and would like to become a police woman when she grows up.

Meldrine enjoys playing netball and skipping.
