School Grade 9

Gideon was born in 2007 in Hama village where his father went for fishing. He is the fourth born child in a family of five children. All his parents are alive though needy. Being in Hama where only fishing and farming are the major activities and there isn't an option for a quality education, Gideon’s uncle, Alphonce, opted to stay with him with his own children so that he can get good education. His mother is also sick and paralyzed on one side so she cannot do much.

Gideon’s mother gave birth to ten children but five died and was survived with five. Among the ones alive, Rose is learning at Ramba primary in grade 6, Pamela and Barrack are learning in Hama in grade 2 and KG3 while the last born Charles is still a baby and not yet going to school.

Gideon’s uncle who is staying with him also has three children of his own to take care of besides Gideon’s elder sister Rose who is also learning at Ramba primary. This leaves him with a huge responsibility as he has a child in high school.

While at home Gideon lives in an iron roofed mud wall house. He sleeps on a mat and covers himself with a blanket. He takes two meals a day. 

Gideon was very happy when he was vetted to join GGCC in January 2015 where he will get a quality education. He promises to work hard and become a Doctor in future.

In GGCC he sleeps on a bed and covers himself with a blanket. He takes all the three meals. He is coping well with his education.

He loves playing football.
