School Grade 12

Geoffrey has one younger brother.  His father died in 2008.  His mother earns her meager income as a small scale fish trader, doing odd jobs, and subsistence farming.  She has very little income to provide even the basic needs of her family.  She is in poor health.  The day Geoffrey reported to GGCC, his uncle brought him because his mother was very sick.

At home, Geoffrey and his brother Nelvis generally have three meals a day, except during the dry seasons when there is very little food.  Geoffrey is thankful that food is always provided at GGCC!

While at home during school breaks, Geoffrey will sleep in his uncle's tin-roofed, mud-walled house, sharing a mat with his brother.  He will help with chores such as fetching water, gathering firewood, and doing some farm work. 

Geoffrey enjoys playing hand ball games, swinging and swimming by the shore of Lake Victoria.

Geoffrey joined GGCC in 2012.
