School Grade 8

Eunice is the fifth born in a family of six children. She comes from Wamai village in Mfangano South location. Her mother who is a peasant farmer is the sole breadwinner of the family. Due to the little income, she is at times forced to do odd jobs like burning charcoal, fetching firewood for sale in order to provide for both the basic and educational needs for her children.

 Eunice has five siblings. The first born, Fredrick Odhiambo is learning at Mauta secondary in grade eleven. The second and third born Daniel Ochieng and Adda Achieng are both in grades 8 and learning at Wamai primary school and GGA respectively. The fourth born Zera Akeyo is learning at Wamai primary in grade three, while the last born is not school going.

While at home, Eunice sleep in her mother’s house on a mat cover self with a blanket and she takes two meals daily .

Before joining GGCC, Eunice was learning at Wamai primary school in KG1.

Eunice was admitted in GGCC in January 2015 in KG2. She loves the school environment so much and looks very jovial. 

In GGCC she sleeps well in a bed and takes three meals daily. She likes playing hide and seeks and rope skipping.

She would like to work hard and become a teacher when she grows up.
